Role Overview
The Junior Finance, Accounting & Tax Officer supports the daily accounting, finance administration and Indonesian tax-compliance activities of Schinder Group.
Working under the supervision of a Finance, Accounting & Tax Officer, Senior Officer or Finance Manager, the Junior Officer assists with transaction recording, supporting documents, invoices, reconciliations, payment administration and tax records.
This position is suitable for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wishes to build strong foundations in finance, accounting and taxation within a professional-services environment.
The successful candidate must demonstrate accuracy, integrity, discipline, confidentiality and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter financial transactions accurately and promptly into the Firm’s approved accounting system, including Accurate Software.
- Collect, check, organise and file supporting documents for income, expenses, payments, receipts and reimbursements.
- Assist with the preparation of invoices, receipts, payment requests and other financial documents.
- Maintain organised records of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assist with bank, ledger, billing and other routine reconciliations.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closing processes.
- Prepare preliminary schedules, summaries and supporting records for review.
- Assist with Indonesian tax calculations, filings, payment records and supporting documentation under supervision.
- Update financial trackers, tax-compliance calendars and payment schedules.
- Check financial documents for missing information, inconsistencies or incomplete approvals.
- Follow up internally regarding outstanding documents, invoices and authorised payment information.
- Support audit preparation by locating and organising requested financial records.
- Follow the Firm’s financial controls, approval procedures and documentation requirements.
- Protect the confidentiality and security of financial, banking, tax, employee, client and Firm information.
- Report errors, missing documents, unusual transactions and potential delays promptly to the supervising officer.
- Perform other reasonable finance, accounting and tax support responsibilities assigned by the supervising officer or management.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Fiscal Administration or another relevant field.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with up to two years of relevant experience may apply.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping and Indonesian taxation.
- Ability to prepare and organise financial records accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
- Experience using Accurate Software or another accounting system is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage recurring deadlines and seek clarification when necessary.
- High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback and correct errors carefully.
- Ability to work effectively within a professional and collaborative team.
- Internship or work experience in a professional-services, law, accounting, tax or consulting firm is an advantage.
- Indonesian tax training or Brevet certification is an advantage but is not required.

Junior Finance, Accounting & Tax Officers will receive practical exposure to bookkeeping, billing, reconciliations, tax administration, financial controls and management-support processes.
Employees who consistently demonstrate accuracy, technical development, reliability, professional discipline and ownership may be considered for progression to Finance, Accounting & Tax Officer.
