Role Overview

The Finance, Accounting & Tax Officer supports the daily financial operations, accounting records and Indonesian tax compliance of Schinder Group.

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate transaction records, preparing reconciliations, supporting billing and collections, assisting with tax filings and providing reliable financial information to the Senior Finance, Accounting & Tax Officer and management.

The successful candidate must be accurate, organised, dependable and capable of taking ownership of assigned finance, accounting and tax responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Fiscal Administration or another relevant field.
  2. Two to five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or Indonesian taxation.
  3. Good knowledge of Indonesian accounting practices and tax-compliance requirements.
  4. Experience with bookkeeping, general ledger entries, reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  5. Ability to assist with Indonesian tax calculations, filings and supporting documentation.
  6. Experience using Accurate Software or another recognised accounting system.
  7. Good working proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  8. Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
  9. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  10. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet recurring financial and tax deadlines.
  11. High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential financial information.
  12. Ability to work independently within assigned responsibilities while collaborating effectively with the finance team and other departments.
  13. Experience in a professional-services, law, accounting, tax or consulting firm is an advantage.
  14. Indonesian tax certification, including Brevet certification, is an advantage.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Fiscal Administration or another relevant field.
  2. Minimum five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting and Indonesian taxation.
  3. Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting practices, tax compliance and local tax-filing systems.
  4. Proven ability to prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash-flow forecasts.
  5. Experience using Accurate Software or another recognised accounting system.
  6. Strong knowledge of general ledger management, reconciliations, accounts receivable and internal financial controls.
  7. Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  8. Strong analytical, numerical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  9. High level of accuracy, attention to detail and consistency.
  10. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently with appropriate accountability.
  11. High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
  12. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to management and non-finance colleagues.
  13. Experience in a professional-services, law, accounting, tax or consulting firm is an advantage.
  14. Indonesian tax certification, including Brevet certification, is an advantage.
